Hotel Industry Advertising Sales Position

MD/DC/NoVA Territory - Work from your home office

Roomsaver Guides are a proven revenue generator for hotel owners. The MD/DC/NoVA market is currently producing sales revenue and the market penetration leaves more on the table. Good growth potential. This position is about getting out in the market and talking with hotel owners/operators. Are you used to 40+ customer calls per week? Once you get in front of the customer it's a very straightforward value proposition.

The Account Executive sells bundled internet/print advertising products and services to new and existing clients in the territory under the direction of the Regional Sales Director.

Sales experience in the hotel industry or experience selling into the hotel industry are ideal and highly preferred.

SPECIFIC DUTY HIGHLIGHTS ARE:

• Achieve the annual sales goals of the defined territory by developing, implementing and directing the strategies and actions in accordance with established guidelines.

• Coordinate client service activities related to the sales function to maximize customer satisfaction and profitability of the territory a minimum of once per month. Using Sales Automation, update sales history each day upon completion of Sales or Services calls.

• Using Sales Automation, maintain a prospect list, ensuring the contact names and addresses are correct and current. Manage prospect list by adding or changing information, as it becomes available. Each month as the guides are printed, review new list and update.

• Responsible for reviewing territory accounts receivable list and ensuring all payments are collected from territory clients before guide cut-off.

• Responsible for completing contracts completely and adhering to company pricing guidelines according to qualifications for rate and terms.

• Follow-up with every client property that is advertising after each sales cut-off, calling as if a potential guest to ensure Roomsaver advertised rate is the lowest rate available to the public.

• Ensure established sales office administration guidelines are executed, followed and maintained.

• Enhance the company's image through active participation & involvement in the industry & community organizations and stays abreast of competition, new developments and sales methods and techniques in the hotel industry to maximize profitability.

• Utilize technology in all aspects of the job:
• Check voice mail a minimum of twice daily
• Check e-mail a minimum of once daily
• Maintain all current & accurate contact records to include history



QUALIFICATIONS: • Minimum 3 year in territory sales (lodging industry experience a plus) • A proven track record in growing sales • Must possess the ability to work efficiently from a home office environment. • Must be organized, have a high degree to detail and the ability to adhere to deadlines • Must be self directed, self-motivated, and focused on results. • Must have a good working knowledge of PC applications such as Office 97 (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, and Outlook), database management, sales automation, email and the World Wide Web. COMPENSATION: • Salary plus commission commensurate with experience. Reimbursement for overnight hotel accommodations. Additional reimbursements for mileage, food, and home office expense.
