FULL TIME SHIFT SUPERVISOR / RAMP SUPERVISOR

FULL TIME JOB AT DULLES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Flying 70 CRJ-200 regional jets as US Airways Express, AWAC brings passengers from their hometowns large and small to hubs that provide them with a gateway to countless travel destinations. Additionally, AWAC is a ground handler for United Airlines in United's Washington Dulles International hub and 20 other cities throughout the country, as well as in eight cities for Northwest Airlines.

AWAC's team is made up of around 2,300 members dedicated to making our travelers' experiences safe and pleasant. With service to approximately 70 cities throughout North America , we carry an estimated 6 million passengers a year.

• Responsible for operational performance requirements in assigned area.


• Supervises the Ramp Service Agents.


• Holds daily shift briefings in their area.


• Ensures employees in their area are complying with processes and procedures.


• Evaluates manpower and scheduling requirements and coordinates necessary changes with Ramp Manager.


• Responsible for ensuring cage is notified of all attendance issues.


• Assists Shift Manager with budget and operation cost control.


• Ensures compliance with federal and state laws and regulations, company policy and procedures, and the collective bargaining agreements.


• Maintains station operational reports and statistics for their shift/area.


• Maintains pass down activity log for next shift. Ensures appropriate follow through on issues that develop during their shift.


• Maintains airport relations with other carriers including UAL and other departments of AWAC.


• Actively participates in ramp operations during their shift..

Requirements

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Thorough knowledge of Ramp Operation.


• Two years prior experience in Ramp Operations.


• Previous supervisory experience preferred.


• Strong communication and leadership skills.


• Driver's license.
