Counter Sales Representative

We are seeking an experienced Counter Sales Representative. Bluffton based supply company is looking for an individual to offer front-line service to customers. We are looking for an energetic, customer-focused professional to sell merchandise to our customers with courteous and efficient service. You will also assist management and other team members with the placement of new merchandise on display and may assist with the receiving of product delivery. We are looking for a talented individual who has the aptitude to learn and has a sincere interest in a career - not just a job.

Working hours: 7:30-4:00

RESPONSIBILITES:

- Sell merchandise to customers over counter, utilizing knowledge of product sold. Suggest selections that meet customers' needs and emphasize selling points of article such as quality and utility. Prepare sales slip. Receive payment or obtain credit authorization.
- Place new merchandise on display.
- Review and maintain counter and warehouse inventory levels.
- Maintain security of cash drawer and shipping ticket audit copies.
- Perform warehouse duties including but not limited to: select or pack customer orders; load or unload delivery vehicles; and assemble stock onto pallets, warehouse trucks, racks, or shelves.
- Maintain counter and warehouse in orderly and clean state.
- Perform other duties as assigned.


SKILLS/ EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

Education: High school diploma or G.E.D.
Experience: One to three years related sales and warehouse experience preferred.
Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of warehousing and office routing procedures preferred. Candidate must be able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis. Excellent verbal communication skills a must!
