Now Hiring:

A and B Level Mechanics for our Beltsville and our Capitol Heights locations.

Duties to include:

• Perform preventative maintenance, diagnosis, service and repair of steering, suspension, brakes, tires and minor repair and diagnosis of engines, transmissions, differentials, electrical, wheelchair lifts, and air conditioning systems.

• Must be able to perform part analysis on damaged parts.

• Keep shop facility clean.

• Assist in inventory control and other duties as they apply.

Job Requirements

• High school graduate or its equivalent.

• 2 years of experience in the repair and maintenance of all types of diesel automotive and transit equipment or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

• Good knowledge of the repair, maintenance, and modifications of light and heavy gasoline, electric, and diesel powered automotive equipment, including transit vehicles.

• Ability to use all types of auto machinist equipment and tools effectively.

• Familiar with use of repair manuals and parts books.

• Must possess a Commercial Drivers License or the ability to obtain one.

Note: The A Mechanic must have a minimum of five years journey-level mechanic experience and a minimum of three years experience in maintenance. The A Mechanic must be legally licensed to operate a bus with a valid Class B license with certificate and any other licenses or certificates required by applicable federal, state, or local regulations. Must be ASE certified. Pre-employment drug screening and background check is required
